Sissy Bird Captures Her First B-Stock Feature Win of 2010 Season
Sunday, July 11th, 2010

Saturday night fans were treated to great racing all night in the stock car and late model classes, and even got to see some sprint car racing as well.

Making her return to TCR B-Stock Victory Lane was #79 Sissy Bird. Sissy led the most laps in the 20 lap Feature, but traded the positions with the #6 of Dan Detjens who nearly stole the race in the closing laps. Bird held on to the lead and captured her first Feature win of the 2010 race season. Bird was followed by the #6 of Dan Detjens, and the #106.9 of Dillon Pogue. Pogue's finish of third in the Feature is his best finish so far in his rookie season.

In the A-Stock class, #22 Jake Savely rallied to another Feature Win, and increased his season points lead. Savely was followed by the #64 of Dustin Bass, and the #13 of Andy Williams. Following post race inspections, officials deemed that the #64 was not legal and therefore had to be disqualified from the Feature. So Williams was bumped to second, and #88 Jake Hagedorn inherited the third place position.

In the Mini Stock class, #199 of Todd Charlesworth captured the Feature win and smashed the existing mini-stock track record by a second with a time of 22.90. Taking second place in the feature behind Charlesworth, was the #44 of Josh Feltman, and the #007 of Andy Kircher.

Racing action returns to Twin City Raceway, on Saturday, July 24th.

Richard McGahan Jr. Wins 2010 Stock Car Challenge
Monday, July 5th, 2010

Yesterday, Twin City Raceway held it's second annual 50 lap "Stock Car Challenge." The event had an announced purse of $2,000, with $1,000 of that going to first place.

Winning, and taking the $1,000 prize was Richard McGahan Jr. in the #9 B-Stock. McGahan ran into trouble early in the event when rain began to drench the raceway, causing McGahan to jump the cushion going into turn three where he then slammed into the fence. McGahan suffered some body damage to the right rear corner of his car, and his trunk popped open, but nothing too serious. He would recover quickly and went on to take the lead away from the #10 of Charley Tegerdine, who was also struggling with the extremely wet racing surface.
